17 June, Butwal. Tilottama Municipality of Rupandehi has given one month summer vacation to schools due to extreme heat.
The municipality issued a notification on Thursday and said that it has decided to close all community and institutional schools in the city from May 18th to June 14th.
In the statement issued by the mayor Ramakrishna Khan, it is mentioned that the holiday was given because of the adverse effect on the health of the children due to the extreme heat and the problems in conducting the studies.
