Tanahun. The building of the basic hospital under construction in Devghat Rural Municipality of the district has become abandoned. Even after the extension of the last time, the building has become stagnant as the work did not pick up speed.
The foundation stone of the hospital was laid on 15th November 2077 at Devghat-5. The contract period for the construction of the hospital expired at the end of June 2080.
Engineer Tirtha Dhungana of the village informed that the deadline was extended until the end of June as there was no other work to be done in that period except for raising the pillars. “Despite the extension of one year, no progress has been made in the construction of the hospital. Only the first slope has been done by raising the pillars of the hospital, but no other work has been done”, he said.
Devghat Rural Municipality made several requests and the slopes were cleared in the last week of January. Engineer Dhungana said that the construction workers did not come back after the slope. When the current Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was the Prime Minister in 2077, the government led by him introduced a policy of building at least five-bed hospitals at all local levels across the country, and it was decided to build a 10-bed hospital in Devghat.
The land required for the construction of the hospital was transferred to another place, the office of Devghat-5 and the Devghat health post, and the foundation stone of the hospital was laid at that place. Rasas
