Gandaki Poet Chaitanya Adhikari’s poetry collection ‘In the Name of Juddha Shamsher’ was launched today in Pokhara.
Sarubhakta, the former Chancellor of Nepal Music and Theater Pratishna and Poet Tirtha Shrestha inaugurated the work during a ceremony.
In the program, the former chancellor of the institution, Sarubhakta, recalled that he had heard Chaitanya as a poet since the 50s and said that he is an emerging and talented poet of contemporary Pokhareli poetry. He mentioned that Kavi Adhikari has a deep sense of poetry, gentle vocabulary, and the ability to express with easy seriousness in heart-touching images.
Similarly, Kavi Shrestha held the view that poetry has no shape and even the poem of Adhikari has no shape limitation. He portrayed Adhikari as a poet who could take even the smallest words and present them in the form of a poem.
While reviewing the work, the poet and critic Sanjeev Paudel commented that he found Adhikari as a creator who incites him to use his pen on contemporary issues and read poetry to rebel against the society in disguise.
In the program, Upendra Poudel, president of Pokhreli Youth Cultural Family, poet and novelist Saraswati Pratishka, former president of the organization, Shekhar Parajuli, Kaushal Chandra GC, Rita Adhikari Ritu, Shiv Tripathi and others gave their views on Adhikari’s personality and works.
After a decade, Adhikari has brought the second work to the market. Earlier, his collection of Jhari Kinar Kavita was published. Rasas
