Kathmandu. Jigyan Kumar Thapa’s non-narrative book ‘Japan Dream, Sangharsha and Succeed’ was launched today at a program organized here. The book published by Chalk Duster Pvt Ltd was launched by the Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Kikuta Yutaka.
Ambassador Yutaka said that he has known the writer Thapa for a long time and was very happy to come to the book launch. He mentioned that the number of Nepali students and workers in Japan is increasing recently and said that this book will be helpful for them to live in Japan and mingle with Japanese citizens. He expressed the opinion that now Japan also needs to know about the culture of Nepal.
On that occasion, former ambassador of Nepal to Japan Madan Kumar Bhattarai said that the book will be very useful for those who want to go to Japan. “During my 37 years as a diplomat, I was very impressed by the lifestyle and behavior of the people there. I believe this book will be more helpful in understanding Japan,” he said.
Discussing the book, Shailendra Adhikari expressed the opinion that for those who want to go to Japan, they can go there to find a job, learn the customs there, and the book can help them to mingle.
Writer Thapa said that although there was no plan to publish a book at first, the book was shaped after the advice and suggestions of many people. He said that although he wrote 16 pages about himself in the book, the remaining part was written for others.
Hari Bhattarai, head of publisher Chuck Duster, recalled the history of Nepalese students who came to Japan for studies in 1902 and brought the Godavari flower to Nepal in 1905. He claimed that the book will be very useful for those who want to go to Japan.
The book is said to be useful for everyone who has been to Japan, is about to go to Japan, has a dream to go to Japan and wants to know about Japan.
