Kathmandu. The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Water and Meteorology, while forecasting the weather for the next 24 hours, said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. The department has issued a weather bulletin this evening and has also asked to be vigilant.
Govind Jha, meteorologist of the division, said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces till Wednesday morning, so the risk of floods and landslides may increase. “It is raining continuously in most places of the country, the soil of the ground may have melted, one should be careful if it rains heavily”, he said, “Even now, it is raining heavily in one or two places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.”
Today, it is partly to mostly cloudy across the country and light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places of Gandaki province and one or two places of Bagmati, Lumbini and Karnali provinces, the division said.
According to the Division, on Wednesday afternoon, it will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country and there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali provinces and few places in the remaining provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Gandaki and Karnali provinces. On Wednesday night, it will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country. Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and some places of Sudurpaschim province and few places of remaining provinces are expected to receive light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning. The division has informed that there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
On Thursday afternoon, it will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country and there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces and few places in the remaining provinces and heavy rain in one or two places of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
