Rupandehi . The High Court Tulsipur Butwal Bench, which has jurisdiction over 6 districts of Lumbini Province, decided about 23 percent more cases than the target in the financial year 080/81.
All the cases that have been in court for more than a year have been decided. The court administration has claimed that the highest number of cases in the country have been decided from here. According to the court, among the 6 districts of the province, the highest number of cases is in Rupandehi and the lowest in Arghakhanchi. Rupandehi, Nawalparasi, Kapilvastu, Gulmi, Palpa, Arghakhanchi of Savik Lumbini are its areas of operation.
The highest verdict in eight years
The Butwal bench has succeeded in deciding many cases in this financial year in the statistics since the financial year 073/74. In 073/74, 2,096 out of 3,88 cases i.e. 69.68 percent, 1,677 out of 2,201 cases i.e. 76.19 percent in 074/75, 1,996 out of 2,968 i.e. 67.25 percent in 075/76. The case was decided.
Similarly, in 2076/77, one thousand 685 in two thousand 500 cases i.e. 67.4 percent, in 077/78 one thousand 285 in two thousand 578 cases i.e. 49.84 percent, in 078/79 one thousand 871 in three thousand 524 i.e. 53. 09 percent of cases were decided.
Similarly, in 079/80, out of 3,889 cases, 2,348 or 60.37 percent of the cases were decided. In the past years, the cases that have exceeded one year have been pending, so this year all the cases that have exceeded one year have been decided.
Rupandehi is the most litigious
Out of the 6 district courts under the Butwal bench, the number of cases is high in Rupandehi. In Rupandehi, 5 thousand 33 cases have been decided out of 9 thousand 184 cases in this financial year. Which comes to 54.80 percent. Four thousand 151 cases are yet to be decided here.
Similarly, 2,785 i.e. 59.57 percent of 4,675 cases have been decided in Kapilvastu District Court. In Nawalparasi West, 2 thousand 363 i.e. 59.80 percent of 3 thousand 951 cases have been decided.
In Palpa, 755 out of 1,031 i.e. 73.22 percent, in Gulmi 480 out of 674 i.e. 71.21 percent and in Arghakhanchi 495 out of 649 i.e. 76.27 percent cases have been decided by June 28 of this financial year.
Judgment of all cases before one year
In this court, out of 3,906 cases including 1,541 and 2,365 registered this year, 3,049 cases have been decided till June 28. All the cases that came from the previous year have been decided.
Registrar Prem Prasad Paudel informed that the target of 2,480 cases decided by the court this year was 569 cases more than the target. This is 22.9 percent more than the target.
Successfully deciding 122.9 percent of the cases of Lakshya, there is not a single case in this court that is more than one year old. There are a total of 145 cases that have exceeded 6 months.
The chief justice of the court, Rajeshwar Tiwari, said that he was able to decide many cases this year because he was trying to maintain judicial governance by providing services as quickly as possible.
