According to the information given by the hospital, the number of patients with seasonal cold, fever, typhoid, pneumonia etc. has increased in the last few days.
The head of Damauli Hospital, where most of the patients are suffering from cold, viral fever and diarrhea Parintar Baral informed. According to him, more than 300 patients come for treatment every day.
The number of patients has decreased since a week due to rainy season and cultivation time, but the majority of those who come for treatment are suffering from seasonal fever and cold”, said Dr. Baral said, “At other times, more than 400 patients come.”
To avoid seasonal infections, patients should boil water and drink plenty of water, consume more water and soft foods, rest, and in case of fever, take Cetamol or medicine as advised by the doctor. Baral informed.
With the effective service facilities in the hospital, patients from some places in the neighboring districts of Gorkha, Lamjung and Kaski along with Tanahun are coming for treatment. Doctors say that typhoid is transmitted through drinking water and food, so patients are advised to drink clean water and eat healthy food.
It may take at least a week to two weeks for people with seasonal flu to recover, the information officer of the hospital and Dr. Kamal Bhandari informed. “Dengue patients have not been seen in the district recently”, he said.
