Janakpurdham. The budget brought by the Madhes state government for the upcoming financial year 2081/82 has been unanimously passed by the meeting held today.
Prior to this, the Ministerial discussion on the Appropriation Bill in the Provincial Assembly meeting and then after receiving the replies of the Ministers, after Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh proposed it for passage, Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal submitted the Appropriation Bill 2081 to the Provincial Assembly for decision, and the Appropriation Bill 2081 was unanimously passed.
Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal announced that the Appropriation Bill was passed unanimously as no member of parliament voted against it.
On June 1, the then Finance Minister Bharat Prasad Sah presented a budget worth 43.89 billion 21 lakh 70 thousand rupees for the next fiscal year in the Madhesh State Assembly.
In the presented budget, the operating side is 16 billion 7 lakh 1 thousand, i.e. 36.45 percent of the total budget, while the capital side is 27 billion 89 million 14 lakh 69 thousand, i.e. 63.55 percent.
The discussion on the budget started only in the fourth week after the budget was introduced. The meeting was interrupted after 4 parties including Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal protested that the budget was hacked.
After the meeting held after the all-party meeting this morning, it was decided to form a high-level investigation committee, and the discussion on the budget in the provincial assembly was completed in a single day. 22 members of the provincial assembly participated.
Earlier in the meeting, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal Chief Whip Ram Ashish Yadav’s proposal to cut Rs 100 in the title of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development was rejected by the majority when the Speaker’s Board presented it to the Provincial Assembly for decision.
