Kathmandu. Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has remembered the special contribution made by Bhanubhakta Acharya for the promotion of national unity through language and literature.
On the occasion of the 211th birth anniversary of the original poet Bhanubhakta Acharya, former President Bhandari has said through social media that Valmiki Ramayana, translated into Nepali language by Bhanubhakta Acharya, has made an important contribution in creating a sense of belonging and a common psychology among Nepalese who embrace diverse geography, ethnicities, customs and cultures. He said that Bhanu Jayanti should be accepted as a special day to show respect to Acharya.
