June 1, Kathmandu. Host Germany has made a good start in Euro-2024. Germany in Group A defeated Scotland 5-1 in the opening match on Friday night.
Five different players scored for Germany in the Allianz Arena in Munich.
Florian Witz scored a goal in the tenth minute of the game and gave Germany the lead. Jamal Musiela scored in the 19th minute to double the lead.
In the 44th minute of the first half, Ryan Porteos received a red card and Scotland was reduced to ten players.
Germany’s Ilke Gundagonz was fouled by Raen in the penalty area, and the referee showed Raen a red card and gave a penalty to Germany. Kai Havertz scored to give Germany a 3-0 lead in the first half.
Taking advantage of Scotland being down to ten players, Germany added two goals in the second half.
Nicklas Fulkirk scored the fourth goal for Jarmaddi in the 68th minute, while Imre Chan added another goal in injury time.
Germany’s Antony Rüdiger gifted an own goal for Scotland in the 67th minute.
There will be three group stage matches in Euro-2024 today. In which the match between Hungary and Switzerland in Group A will be held at 6:45 PM according to Nepali time.
Similarly, the match between Spain and Croatia in Group B will be held at 9:45 pm and the match between Italy and Latvia in Group B will be held at 12:45 midnight.
