32 May, Kathmandu. The police have arrested two suspects in the case of the shooting death of Haribhushan Kushwaha, head of Rajaram Multipurpose Campus in Bara.
The police did not release the name of the arrested as they are working to ascertain their involvement. Chief of District Police Office, Bara, Suresh Kafle, has confirmed that two suspects have been detained and investigation is underway.
A group of three people on a motorcycle opened fire on Kushwaha around 5 pm on Friday. He was seriously injured and died during treatment at the Bayodha Hospital in Birganj.
According to an officer involved in the investigation, it is suspected that the murder may have been due to a dispute related to land transactions. Police officials say that those involved in the shooting may be acquaintances of the deceased.
An investigation officer claimed that the results of the Kushwaha murder case will be revealed soon, stating that the accused have almost been identified.
