31 May, Kathmandu. In the AFC U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers, Nepal has been placed in Group ‘B’ with former winners Uzbekistan.
According to the draw held on Thursday in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, along with Nepal and Uzbekistan, Chinese Taipei and Cambodia are in Group ‘B’.
Group B matches will be held in Chinese Taipei from September 21 to 29.
Nepal will play the first match against Cambodia on September 21 and the second match against Chinese Taipei on September 23. Similarly, they will play against Uzbekistan on September 25 and Bahrain on September 27.
In the U-20 Asian Cup qualifiers, 45 teams from Asia have been divided into 10 groups. Among which there are 5-5 teams in five groups and 4-4 teams in five groups.
The group winners of ten groups and the best five runner-up teams will be selected for the final stage. China has been automatically selected as the host.
