31 May, Kathmandu. Paulo Fosse has been appointed as the new coach of the Italian club AC Milan.
The 51-year-old Portuguese Fonseca has been contracted by Milan for three years. He will be in Milan until 2027.
Fonseca previously coached French club Lille from 2022 to 2024.
Fonseca will now replace Stefano Pioli. After AC Milan finished fourth in Serie A, Pioli left the club by mutual consent.
On the other hand, Fonseca also left the French club by mutual consent after Lille finished fourth in the French league.
Lille lost to Aston Villa in the final of the Europa Conference League in a penalty shootout.
Fonseca previously worked as a coach for Italian club Roma, Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk and Porto in Portugal.
