31 May, Kathmandu. MP Metmani Choudhary of CPN United Socialist said that people are being exploited because of land.
He said this while speaking on the budget of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation and the Ministry of Health and Population in the House of Representatives on Thursday.
Mentioning that there are poor and rich societies because of land, he said, ‘He who is a farmer does not have land.’
He suggested the government to go ahead with the policy of making all the land government.
We should be able to create a policy to bring all the land under the name of the government. The country should move forward in this direction. I want to draw the attention of the government to make the entire land government by making a single policy,’ he said. He believes that by doing this, the exploitation of the people due to the land will end.
After taking all the land in the name of the government, it is necessary to make a policy to provide land based on the need. If this happens, we can end the exploitation of the people because of the land.’
