31 May, Kathmandu. West Indies have given a target of 150 runs to New Zealand in ICC T20 World Cup-2024.
After losing the toss at Bren Lara ground, West Indies, who batted first, scored 149 runs with the help of Sherfan Radford’s half-century.
Sherfan Radford, who came at number 6 for the West Indies who had a bad start, made a good score by playing an unbeaten innings of 68 runs.
Other batsmen Nicholas Pooran scored 17, Akil Hussain scored 15, Andre Russell scored 14, Romario Shepherd scored 13, Brendan King scored 9 and Alzari Joseph scored 6 runs.
Trent Boult of New Zealand took three wickets, Tim Southee and Lockie Ferguson took two wickets and James Neesham and Mitchell Santner took one wicket each.
In the earlier matches, West Indies defeated Uganda and Papua New Guinea, while New Zealand was defeated by Afghanistan.
