30 June, Butwal. 3 people died in a car accident while returning to Butwal in Rupandehi from Nuwakot in Palpa.
According to the police, 56-year-old Ram Prasad Sharma (Chavilal), 56-year-old resident of Butwal-10, 57-year-old Asha Shrestha of Tilottma-3 and 50-year-old Bhagwati Shrestha of the same place died in a car accident while returning from Nuwakot across the Tinau river.
The car numbered Lu 2 Ch 8531 fell down about 100 meters from the road above Butwal-13 Bandelpokhri at around 8:30 pm on Wednesday evening. DSP Vijayraj Pandit, Head of Area Police Office Butwal, informed that all the three persons who were seriously injured in the accident and were taken to Lumbini Regional Hospital for treatment were declared dead by the doctor.
According to the police, Chandra Shrestha, resident of Butwal sub-metropolitan city-9 and Laxmita Shrestha, resident of Butwal-11, were injured in the accident. They are being treated at Lumbini Regional Hospital. Their health condition is normal.
DSP Pandit said further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
