Jhapa: Two people were killed in Shivastakshi Municipality and Arjundhara Municipality in two days, according to the District Police Office.
Police Superintendent of District Police Office Milan KC informed that two people were killed in Arjundhara municipality on Saturday night and Shivasatakshi on Friday night.
According to him, 19-year-old Manisha Lahore of Ilam Suryaedaya Municipality-10 Fikkal was stabbed to death at Mahanand Chowk in Arjundhara Municipality-6 on Saturday night. Police have arrested 20-year-old Anil Vick of Kailali Gourigunj Municipality-3 on the charge of Lahore murder.
While running away after stabbing the blacksmith several times, the locals arrested him and handed him over to the police. Lohar, who was injured by a stab wound, died last night while undergoing treatment at Windsea Hospital in Virtamod.
Similarly, the police said that Ram Prasad Sitaula, a resident of Shivsatakshi municipality-8 Shitalchok, was killed by his brother Narayan Sitaula on Friday night after being drunk.
According to the police, Bhai Ram Prasad was killed by hitting him with a stick when both of them were drinking alcohol. Superintendent of Police Milan KC of District Police Office Jhapa informed that he was immediately arrested and investigated by the police.
