Kathmandu. The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) has decided to nominate candidates for the chairmanship of the committee under the National Assembly.
Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey informed that it was decided to nominate MP Maya Prasad Sharma as a candidate for the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee at the meeting of the parliamentary party held at Singh Darbar today.
The meeting has decided to support the candidate of CPN (Unified Socialist) for the chairmanship of the Legislation Management Committee. The election schedule for the chairman of that committee has been announced to be held on Monday, August 31 at 1:00 p.m.
Chief Whip Pandey informed that the Maoist Center has decided to take the initiative for consensus or to go through the process to win.
Similarly, in the meeting, the party president and leader of the parliamentary party, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, informed about the latest political situation in the country and the role to be played by the party in the federal parliament.
The Maoist center has repeatedly made statements in the House of Representatives insulting the ‘people’s war’ conducted by them, and has decided to continue the protest in the House until a proper decision is made on the matter.
