Surkhet. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that he is serious about solving the problems arising during the development and construction of the area around Surkhet.
In a meeting with the team of the Surkhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Kathmandu today, Prime Minister Oli promised that the problems encountered during development and construction will be resolved soon. Accepting the demands of the union, he said that the Chief Minister of Karnali, Yamlal Kandel, had already informed him about the problems that had arisen during the development and construction of the area around Surkhet, so he would instruct the relevant ministries to resolve the issues soon.

In the union’s demand letter, the Surkhet Airport runway extension, Kohalpur-Surkhet 132 KVA power transmission line extension, the problem of tree cutting in the Bardia National Park area and solving the long-term problem of squatters, etc.
Gangaram Sunar, head of Surkhet District Coordination Committee, Lakshman Kandel, President of Surkhet Industry and Commerce Association, and Kalpana Bista, Vice President of Nepal Youth Entrepreneurs Forum, participated in submitting the demand letter to the Prime Minister.
