Janakpurdham. Today’s meeting of the Madhesh State Assembly unanimously passed the bill for the development of sports in the state.
Pramod Jaiswal, Minister of Sports and Social Welfare of the Government of Madhesh Province, proposed the Bill for its passage. In today’s meeting of the Provincial Assembly, Speaker of the Provincial Assembly Ramchandra Mandal announced that the Sports Bill was unanimously passed on the basis of voice vote.
Earlier, while replying to the questions raised about the Bill in the Provincial Assembly, Minister of Sports and Social Welfare of Madhesh Province, Jaiswal, expressed his belief that the Bill will contribute significantly to the development of sports and sports culture in Madhesh Province, and to create a good sports environment in the province.
He said that after the passing of the bill, sportsmen across the state are preparing to celebrate Diwali this evening and said that the state government will celebrate the sports day in the state on the day the bill is passed or on the day it is approved.
Earlier, participating in the discussion, CPN-UML deputy leader Dipendra Thakur said that the law is necessary to create a sports environment in Madhesh and to increase the morale of the players and expressed his happiness that the law has come even though it was delayed.
He said that there is a wide potential of sports in Madhesh province and because there is a wide potential of wrestling, kabaddi and cricket in Madhesh province, if training is done in the wards, there is a possibility of winning a gold medal in the Olympics, so it is necessary to create an environment accordingly.
The bill was discussed since Wednesday. Among those who participated in today’s meeting, members of the state assembly Jivchi Yadav, Sharda Devi Thapa, Vina Devi Sharma and others gave suggestions.
