According to this belief, the owners of four households in Baglung are prepared to win the hearts of the guests by making delicious dishes from local products. The owners of four households in Kathekhola rural municipality here have mastered the art of preparing 30 types of delicious food. They have been trained for this. Manisha Shrestha, who is well versed in culinary arts, taught the guests who came here to cook four delicious dishes.
The owner has taught Shrestha how to prepare everything from tea to juice and meat dishes. “Within 12 days, 80 owners of four households were taught to make 30 types of dishes. Now if we can prepare food according to the choice of the guests, the household will be sustainable”, Shrestha said.
A training program was organized here in the first week of August. 20/20 managers of Shivdhuri Community Gharbas located in Kathekhola Rural Municipality-5, Baur Community Gharbas in Kathekhola Rural Municipality-7 Reshko, Deurali Community Gharbas located in Kathekhola Rural Municipality-3 Dhamja and Khanigaon Community Gharbas in Kathekhola Rural Municipality-8 Lekhani visited the households and trained in household management and cooking. was
Along with the training, the trainees have started making food dishes. “We have been making a dozen dishes since the traditional days. After the training, we have learned to taste the same dish in a new way”, said Anisha Thapa, owner of Dhamja Deurali Community Home. He said that he was excited to give the guests of the house a new taste after learning a new way of making a dish from locally available potatoes and millet.
Umesh Gautam, secretary of Nepal Gaza Development Foundation, informed that in the first phase, four households of Kathekhola rural municipality were given cooking and hospitality training in order to increase the capacity of households. He said that in order to keep the household running, the operator needs to be good at hospitality and cooking.
Suraj Bastola, who has been giving Tamil on hospitality at Gharbas, said that for the sustainability of Gharbas, there is a need for the management to be competent. According to Banstola, the treasurer of the Gharbas Federation of Nepal, Gharbas is proving to be important in the development of tourism along with the economic gains of the community.
30 types of dishes can be tasted at home
