Lalitpur . Lalitpur Metropolitan City can become the leading metropolis of the country in the field of health, said Chief Chiribabu Maharjan.
While inaugurating the Swastik Hospital in Talchikhel located in Lalitpur Mahanagara-14 today, Chief Maharjan recalled that two years ago he was awarded by the Nepal Municipal Association for his excellent work in the health sector. He said that he can become the leading metropolis of the country in the field of health by keeping the dignity of the award.
“Lalitpur Metropolis is not weak in the health sector, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has declared it as the best local level in the country in LIZA (Local Level Institutional Self-Assessment) last year. “It has succeeded in becoming the best among the metropolitan cities of the country in many areas,” he said, “I believe that the hospital will provide excellent services in this area.”
Chief Maharjan said that he is confident that this hospital, which has been providing services for the past one and a half years, will leave no stone unturned in service delivery. Deputy Chief Manjali Shakya Bajracharya expressed his belief that since the services provided by this hospital are accessible and of high quality, the expectations of the citizens will be met.
Dipendraraman Singh, Additional Health Secretary of the Ministry of Health, said that it is important to start such hospitals when there is a challenge to easily deliver health services from the government level to the community level. He requested to provide health services in partnership with the local government in such a way that the community adopts them.
According to the hospital administration, this 15-bed hospital has more than 30 doctors and provides all services including emergency and outpatient services. BC Thapa, director of the hospital, informed that free services will be provided to children and senior citizens of the ward in coordination with the ward.
