Kaski. In memory of the Chairman of the Constituent Assembly Subash Chandra Nemwang, the Gandaki state level volleyball tournament has been prepared in Pokhara.
The first state level men’s open volleyball tournament is going to be held at the volleyball court of Prithvi Narayan Campus from August 27th to 31st in the organization of All Nepal National Independent Students Union (ANERASWAVIU).
Praveen Shrestha, president of Aneraswaviyu Gandaki Province, informed that the competition is going to be held after the first anniversary of Swa Nemwang. Constituent Assembly President and then Vice President of Nepal Communist Party (UML) Nemwang died of heart attack last year.
According to President Shrestha, the team that will participate in the competition should be from Aneraswaviyu. He said that national players from Gandaki province can be included in the team.
Vikram Chhetri, treasurer and program coordinator of Aneraswaviyu Gandaki, informed that the winning team of the competition will be given Rs.
He informed that national players from other regions cannot be included in the team except those representing Gandaki province. “District, municipality, campus committee of ANRASWVIU will be able to form a team by keeping national players from Gandaki province. Even if he is a national player, he must belong to Gandaki province. Outside players cannot be mixed in the team”, said Chhetri.
A registration fee of Rs 7,500 has been set to participate in the competition.
