Dhorpatan (Baglung) I Electricity supply to 1,313 houses in Nisikhola rural municipality has been cut off after the landslide washed away the canal of the electricity project.
Electricity generation has been stopped for three days after a landslide washed away 35 meters of the 120 kilowatt capacity Nisikhola second hydropower project in Nisikhola rural municipality-4 Jaithumka.
Chiranjeevi Poudel, Manager of Nisikhola 2nd Small Hydropower Project, informed that with the stop of production from the project, electricity supply has been stopped in Bohoragaon, Thapagaon, Jhiwakhola, Chapakhani, Dharakhark, Dhuvankhor, Okhreni, Jiri, Jhimpa, Badachur and other places. He said that the landslides caused by the continuous rain caused great damage to the canal of the project.
Manager Paudel said that it will take at least 20 days to build the canal washed away by the landslide and it will take a month to be put into operation.
