Pokhara. There has been an increase in the number of dengue patients in Pokhara. Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality Public Health Inspector Rajendra Regmi said that the number of dengue patients has increased in the community and private hospitals of Pokhara since a few days.
With the increase in dengue patients in Pokhara, the mayor of Pokhara, Dhanraj Acharya, has directed that every government and non-government organizations consult about dengue infection around their offices from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. every morning to control dengue.
In Pokhara, 346 people have been infected with dengue disease. Yamanath Baral, the vector control officer of Health Office Kaski, said that dengue infection has spread to 466 people in Kaski.
According to the data provided by the office, 346 people have been infected with this infection in Pokhara, while in Annapurna and Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality, 4/4 people have been infected with dengue, said Baral.
He urged people to seek treatment at the nearest hospital as soon as symptoms such as vomiting, body weakness, lack of interest in food, and small red rashes appear on the body. According to the office, a campaign is necessary in the community for the control and prevention of dengue disease caused by mosquitoes.
