Kathmandu. The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) is going to take initiatives for broad left-wing unity.
Vice President and Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota informed that in the meeting of the party’s standing committee held today at the party’s central office, Parisdanda, party president Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ proposed to take the initiative for greater left-wing unity and go to the people with a clear course of action.
According to him, today’s meeting discussed the issue of effectively raising the agenda of the country and the people through the House and the streets, effectively raising the program of struggle from both places and taking initiatives for broad left-wing unity.
Similarly, an important discussion was also held in the meeting regarding conducting a campaign of purification on a large scale within the party. Chairman Dahal expressed his opinion on the latest political situation of the country, the direction of the party in the future, and the creation of ideas.
Spokesperson Sapkota informed that senior vice president Narayankaji Shrestha, vice president Sapkota, deputy general secretary Janardan Sharma and Varshman Pun made their comments based on the views of the president.
Informing that there is a regular dialogue with the forces in the Samajwadi Front, the spokesperson Sapkota said that on the basis of that, the meeting discussed the need to take the initiative for broad left-wing unity.
In the meeting, leaders Parashuram Tamang, Surendra Karki, Ganeshman Pun, Kulprasad KC, Ganesh Sah, Devendra Poudel, Amrita Thapamgar, Chakrapani Khanal expressed their views about the direction and future strategy of the party.
According to him, the eighth congress of the party has synthesized the ideas and all the actions of the past will be further synthesized. The meeting will resume on Sunday at 11:00 am.
