Benny (Magdi). Drinking water facilities have been extended to about seven hundred households in Myagdi. Drinking water, water resources and irrigation development division office, Myagdi, conducted in the financial year 2080/81, six hundred and 98 houses have been provided with drinking water.
Information officer of the office, Engineer Shivshankar Shah informed that 34 water supply schemes received from the state government and eight water supply schemes received from the federal government have been implemented this year. According to him, in the last year, seven different water supply schemes have been completed and water meters have been installed in 209 houses.
According to the office, after the construction of Ghodepani water supply, Toripani’s Khaspadhera water supply, Dammara water supply, Ranbang water supply, Tusarepani water supply, Sijalgaon Chunepani water supply scheme has been completed and meters have been installed, access to drinking water has been provided to households.
In the water supply scheme conducted by the office, 28 intakes, 16 collection chambers, 11 distribution chambers, four BTC chambers and 24 water collection tanks have been constructed within a year. Sub-engineer of the office Dhanesh Shah informed that a total of 27.67 per cent kilometers of main pipeline and 49.71 kilometers of distribution pipeline were constructed in one year.
