Kathmandu. The newly appointed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resumed his post at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Darbar today.
After taking the oath of office and secrecy before President Ram Chandra Paudel today at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Sheetal Niwas, Prime Minister Oli paid his respects to the martyrs at Shaheed Park in Lainchour.
Prime Minister Oli assumed charge at the Singha Durbar after laying a wreath on the deathbed of public leader Madan Bhandari at the Nepal Communist Party (UML) office in Chaisal.
When Prime Minister Oli entered the office, he was welcomed by the acting Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal Liladevi Gadtaula, secretaries and other high officials. Prime Minister Oli’s secretariat has announced that the decision on his reinstatement will be announced soon.
According to Article 76 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, President Paudel, with the support of Nepali Congress and CPN (UML), appointed UML President Oli as the 45th Prime Minister of the country this Sunday.
