Bhadrapur (Jhapa). The residents of Home District Jhapa are happy after the President of Nepal Communist Party (UML) KP Sharma Oli became the Prime Minister for the fourth time.
The residents of the district were happy with the expectation that the development and construction works in the district will speed up more.
President Ramchandra Paudel today appointed him to the post of Prime Minister according to Article 76(2) of the Constitution of Nepal.
The people of the district are hopeful that the development plans started by Prime Minister Oli, who was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Jhapa Constituency No. 5, will be completed and new plans will be added in the future.
A resident of Khagendra Upreti district of Kankai municipality-4 says that it is a matter of pride to reach the executive leadership of the country for the fourth time. Upreti says that if Prime Minister Oli can fulfill his promises in the past, that will be a great gift for the people of Jhapa.
Chandra Karki, a tourism businessman from Mechinagar, hopes that Jhapa’s tourism sector will become more active after Oli becomes the Prime Minister. He said that they are hopeful that there will be big plans to promote tourism in the tourist areas of Kichkabadh, Kechna, Satasidham, Jamunkhadi Wetlands etc.
In addition, Karki said that if the ban on tourists entering Nepal from third countries through the Kankarvitta border can be removed, the development of this region will be greatly helped and all the businessmen here hope that Prime Minister Oli will take initiative in this.
Meghraj Rajwansi of Bhadrapur municipality-10 said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Oli, there is hope that the construction of strategic roads in the district will be completed easily. Engineer Gautam Kumar Dev, Information Officer of Roads Division Fire Department informed that strategic roads in all the five constituencies of the district are incomplete due to lack of budget and there is a budget deficit of Rs 9 crore in all areas.
According to Himalkumar Chamlagai, Chairman of Ward No. 2 of Jhapa Rural Municipality, large rivers like Kankai, Biring, Mechi, Ratuwa flood the southern part of the district during the rainy season and the villages are displaced. He expressed the hope that as the people of the district become the leaders of the country, a permanent embankment will be built on the river bank to prevent flooding.
