Biratnagar. Head of Biratnagar Metropolitan Municipality Nagesh Koirala said that in accordance with Nepal’s multilingual policy, Radio Nepal Tarini Prasad Koirala Smriti Sanchar Gram broadcasts Rajvanshi language news from Mahanagar FM Biratnagar, which has added strength to the development of language culture.
While addressing the Rajvanshi language news broadcast program that started today from Mahanagar FM Radio Biratnagar, he thanked Radio Nepal for starting the Rajvanshi language news broadcast by incorporating the multi-cultural and multi-religious policy as mentioned in the constitution.
In addition to other services, Communication Village, which was established with the aim of preserving and promoting local language, culture, art, literature, song, and music, mentioned that it is a pleasure to broadcast news in Rajvanshi language.
Metropolitan Chief Koirala, who was also the chief guest of the program, expressed his commitment that the metropolis would help Sanchar Gram to conduct the employment country program at the local level by bringing these things to the public, since the documentary exhibition based on the biography of Tarini Prasad Koirala has been recording songs and music of the local language.
Addressing the program, Buddhi Bahadur KC, Executive Director of Radio Nepal and Chairman of Sanchar Gram Board of Directors, informed that Tarini Prasad Koirala’s statue will be established in Sanchar Gram in the coming financial year and mobile app and website will be launched through Sanchar Gram.
While appreciating the support provided by the Government of Nepal for the operation of the Communication Village, he informed that the e-Library, Radio Museum operation, as well as song music training and the capacity building of the media personnel and the recording of song music in different languages have been started from the Communication Village. He said that communication village will carry out more activities according to the purpose with the help of the metropolitan city in the future.
Chief District Officer of Morang, Prem Prasad Bhattarai, while mentioning that the broadcasting of Rajvanshi language news from Sanchar Gram is a happy thing for everyone, he stressed that the media should expose the hidden talents and continue to transmit the news.
Pushkar Raj Gautam, director of Tarini Prasad Koirala Memorial Communication Village, while informing about the service facilities provided by the communication village, said that more services are going to be expanded to advance the communication village in the long term.
In the program, Indira Koirala, a member of Tarini Prasad Koirala’s family, while discussing the contribution made by Tarini Prasad Koirala in radio broadcasting, said that she would support Sanchar Gram as much as possible on behalf of her family.
Former central president of Nepal Trade Union Congress, Lakshman Bahadur Basnet, opined that if all the ethnic communities feel the ownership of their own language, the country as a whole will develop.
Balram Chaudhary, head of Sanchar Gram Biratnagar, highlighted the purpose of Sanchar Gram in the program.
CPN-UML Morang President Baburam Karki, Biratnagar General Secretary of Rajvanshi Samaj Vikas Samiti Chandra Prasad Rajvanshi and the central advisor of the committee Panilal Rajvanshi discussed the important role of Radio Nepal in the development of language and literature.

On this occasion, Mayor Nagesh Koirala and Executive Director Buddhi Bahadur KC of Radio Nepal jointly unveiled the inscription and launched Rajvanshi language news broadcast.
Representatives of various ethnic communities and organizations including Rajvanshi, Mudiyari, Madheshi Tharu participated in the program. Starting from today, Rajvanshi language news will be broadcast every day at 1:45 PM on Mahanagar FM.
