Janakpurdham. It has been decided to form a high-level investigation committee to investigate the budget of Madhes state government.
At the beginning of today’s meeting of the Madhesh State Assembly, Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal informed that a decision has been taken to form a high-level investigation committee to investigate the issues raised regarding the budget.
He informed that it has been decided to entrust the current Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh and the outgoing Chief Minister and leader of the parliamentary party of Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal Saroj Kumar Yadav to determine the process and work responsibilities of the committee.
The state assembly members of JSP Nepal, Nepali Congress, LOSPA and RPP submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh on June 16, stating that the budget presented by the Madhes government for the financial year 2081/82 was hacked. Since then, JSP members of Nepal’s provincial assembly have been blocking every meeting of the provincial assembly.
In order to restart the meeting and pass the budget for the next financial year, the all-party meeting led by Speaker Ram Chandra Mandal today decided to give the responsibility of the current Chief Minister Satish Kumar Singh and the outgoing Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav to form a high-level investigation committee.
