Woman dies of snake bite




Nawalparasi A woman has died due to the bite of a poisonous snake in Pratappur of West Nawalparasi.

The police said that Runa Pal, 32, a resident of Ward No. 8 of Pratapur rural municipality, died. He was bitten by a snake while he was sleeping in his own house at 4 am. He was taken to the Nepal Army’s Serpent Stings Treatment Center in Triveni for treatment. He was taken to Prithvichandra District Hospital for further treatment but he died at 9 am. Deputy Superintendent Resham Bohora informed.

Recently, with the increase in summer, even though the number of poisonous snakes has increased in West Nawalparasi, due to the lack of reliable treatment services in the district, premature deaths are taking place.
