Bharatpur (Chitwan). The identities of all the three bodies found in the Narayani river on Saturday have been revealed. The police said that the bodies were those of the passengers of the missing bus in Trishuli after being swept away by the landslide.
Spokesman of District Police Office Bheshraj Rizal informed that two dead bodies found on Narayani river island in Ghandakot Municipality-7 Gari and one found in Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality-28 Golaghat were confirmed to be passengers of Simaltal incident. According to him, one of the three bodies found on Saturday has been confirmed to be that of 22-year-old Vikas Pariyar of Chitwan Madi Municipality-1. Vijay Pariyar, brother of the deceased, identified the dead body.
He boarded the bus from Birganj to Kathmandu from Bharatpur. Another body found near the body of deceased Vikas has also been confirmed to be that of the passenger who went missing in the Simaltal incident. Spokesperson Rizal said that the dead body belonged to 19-year-old Ramit Kushar Majhi of Sarlahi Barhathwa Municipality-3. The body found in Golaghat has been confirmed to be 28-year-old Rishi Pal Sah from Sitamani Berginia Jamuhwa, Bihar, India. According to the police, the deceased’s father Rabindra Kishore Majhi and Sah’s brother have been identified. Two bodies were taken away by relatives on Saturday.
On Friday, Bagmati Province Bus No. 03-001B 2495 coming from Kathmandu and Bagmati Province Bus No. 03-006B 1516 going to Kathmandu from Birgunj fell into Trishuli after falling into a landslide at Bharatpur Municipal Corporation-29 Simaltal. 27 people on the bus coming from Kathmandu to Gaur and 24 people on the bus going to Kathmandu from Birganj went missing. The search for the missing bus and passengers has also started today. Chief District Officer Indradev Yadav informed that a large number of security personnel have been mobilized and searched in Simaltal and Narayani river areas where landslides occurred.
