Pokhara. Dilliraj Bhatt, the provincial head of Gandaki province, has said that there is immense potential for literary tourism in Nepal.
On the occasion of the 211th birth anniversary of the original poet Bhanu Bhakta, he said that there is immense potential for literary tourism in Nepal at the Bhanu Special Ceremony organized by Bhanu Literary Academy and Pokhara Pragya Academy in Pokhara.
Stating that everyone should remember the original poet of Nepali language Bhanubhakta, he asserted that it will help in the prosperity of the country if various places connected with the original poet Bhanubhakta can be moved forward through literary tourism.
On this day, literary, cultural, educational and community organizations are holding various programs in memory of Adi Kavi Bhanubhakta and the provincial chief Bhatt believes that such celebrations will help to awaken literary appetite in the young generation and increase respect for the language and pride for the Nepali language.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhatt honored Ram Bahadur Kumal, the best student in Nepali subject at Prithvi Narayan Campus and Ishwari Kumari Ji, a teacher of Lakshmi Mavi, Pokhara 26, who taught Nepali subject for a long time, with cash on behalf of the organizers.
Similarly, as support for the construction of the building of the Bhanu Literary Foundation, the provincial chief Bhatt personally presented a check of 20,000 cash to the president of the foundation, writer Sarubhakta, through his personal officer Lalit Ojha.
Adikavi Bhanubhakta Acharya was born 211 years ago on 29 June 1871 in Ramgha village, Tanahun district, Gandaki province. Bhanu Jayanti is celebrated as a cultural and literary festival. Pokhara Mayor Dhanraj Acharya also participated in the event.
