Janakpurdham. It has been found that most of the laboratories operating in Madhesh province do not comply with the health institution operating standards made by the Nepal government.
In the seminar on standards and quality of private and government laboratories organized by Madhesh Public Health Laboratory today in Janakpurdham, information was given that the laboratories were found to be following the standards to a low extent.
Since there is a difference in laboratory fees, MELAN president Suresh Sharma demanded that the fees should be determined at the state level for uniformity. He said that the public is getting cheated because some of the famous doctors of Janakpurdham are conducting the tests of the same disease in different laboratories for the commission.
Vivek Thakur of Pushpanjali Laboratory said that due to the different fees in the laboratories, common consumers are getting killed and suggested that the government should determine the test fee according to the level.
Laboratory worker Sunil Mahato said that the quality of the laboratories in Janakpurdham has improved compared to before and said that after the establishment of laboratories from the government level, there is a compulsion to improve the laboratories in the private sector.
Health Director of Madhesh Province Dr. Rajiv Kumar Jha said that none of us is exempted from not knowing about the law and said that action will be taken against the guidelines made by the Nepal government for the laboratory.

Shravan Kumar Mishra said that the number of registered laboratories in Madhesh province is 250 and the government-run laboratories are not established to weaken the private level laboratories, but to provide testing facilities that are not available anywhere.
