Biratnagar. The Koshi state government has allocated a budget of 35 billion 27 billion 63 million rupees for the next financial year 2081/082.
Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Ram Bahadur Magar presented the budget in the state assembly meeting.
Out of the allocated budget, 14.47 billion 3 million is for current expenses, 16.2 billion 20 million for capital and 4.58 billion 5 million for financial management.
The Koshi government has allocated an amount of 4.585 million for various subsidies to 137 municipalities of the province.
The then Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki, who also held the Ministry of Economic Affairs last time, brought a budget of 36 billion 24 crores through an ordinance.
But later, replacing the ordinance brought by Karki, the budget of 36.74 billion was passed by the then Chief Minister Kedar Karki-led government.
