32 May, Kathmandu. The first team of football players who were selected under the Road to Tottenham program organized by Bhagwali Club Tokha has left for Bangalore.
Bidding farewell to the players, Joint Secretary General of All Nepal Football Association, Damodar ‘Badri’ Bhattarai, said that the players who have been selected will participate in the selection program with discipline. He congratulated the players saying that he is confident that they will produce the best players to represent Nepal in the future.
The 36-member team under the leadership of Bhagwati club president Indraraj Joshi and manager Bijendra Pudasaini will give a selection test at Kick Start Football Club (FC) in Bangalore.
The program coordinator Manish Joshi informed that the players who were selected as the best players from the test will receive training at Kick Start FC and the best players will participate in the training at Tottenham.
The team that went to Bangalore will participate in three days of physical, sports skills test and other training and competition organized by Kick Start. After that, the players will return to Nepal and after completing the necessary process, the players who are selected in the test will be trained again at the academy and the players who excel in the training will get a ticket to Tottenham, manager Bijendra Pudasaini informed.
About 3,000 players from across the country participated in the Road to Tottenham program organized by Bhagwati Club in Tokha.
A team of four-member coaches from Kick Start FC selected 147 players in the first phase of the two-day selection program.
The second team of selected players is scheduled to leave for Bangalore in July.
