32 June, Virtamod. Three people from the same family have been found dead in Shivasatakshi municipality-3, Bhotepul village of Jhapa.
According to DSP Krishna Chand of District Police Office, Jhapa, Sujan Besra’s wife Anjali Besra, 25, sons Vishal Besra, 8, and Ayush Besra, 2, were found dead.
According to the locals, on Friday, a child of a neighboring house, while playing, saw the lights on and someone hanging, and informed the others. When the locals went and looked, Anjali was found hanging.
DSP Chand told Onlinekhabar that two sons Vishal and Ayush were also found dead nearby. According to him, a team of specialist doctors from Mechi Hospital, Bhadrapur was also deployed at the spot.
In the preliminary examination, it is suspected that two children may have died due to ‘poison’. However, it will be confirmed after the post-mortem examination.
DSP Chand says that the bodies of two people were found in the process of extracting the poison, while the police also found a bottle of poison nearby.
“The bodies of the three people have been sent to Dharan-based VP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for post-mortem,” he said, “We are conducting further investigations.”
Anjali’s husband Sujan is in Qatar for foreign employment. Anjali is his second wife. The police did not find a suicide note or any other sign at the scene.
