Kathmandu. Jin of the K-pop band BTS has completed his mandatory military service. After coming out of military service, he showed his love by hugging 1000 fans.
According to CNN, Jin made his first public appearance at Seoul’s Jamsil Sports Complex, where he performed and met with fans.
At the event, 1 lucky fan hugged the 31-year-old superstar and at the end of the day, a total of 4,000 selected fans attended his performance.
Superfans of the band known as BTS Army even came to Seoul from abroad to see Jin’s performance. According to South Korean law, every citizen who turns 28 must complete 18 months of mandatory military service.
The South Korean government passed a law in 2020 that allowed major pop stars to retire until age 30. Six other members of BTS are still serving their mandatory military service.
Mim Chenchanya from Thailand is one of the lucky fans who hugged Jin and told CNN – When I found out I won the raffle, I cried tears of joy.
Holly Campbell, who traveled from Melbourne, Australia, and Ashley Stoudnor from Florida, USA, said they were not ready to miss this festival. After debuting in the music world in 2013, BTS has been earning music alone in more than 100 countries.
