Kathmandu. The film ‘Bato: Road to Death’ has premiered in Kathmandu. There was a packed presence of filmmakers at the first exhibition held at Labim Hall of QFX on Wednesday evening.
The premiere was attended by the cast of the film, celebrities, media persons, entrepreneurs along with Arun Kumar Rathi. Entrepreneur Rathi, who is also the chairman of Rathi Group, said that he is proud to collaborate with the film sector for the first time.
“In the days to come, we will continue to join in this area under some pretext,” he said. Madan Thapa, screenwriter, editor and director of this film, which was produced in Nepali, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages, said that the premiere received an excellent response.
He said, ‘I want to make the quality of Nepali films international. Nowadays, the audience is much ahead of the filmmaker, that’s why we have to make a good film.’
Actor Sulakshan Bharti said that the director has created a new world in this film. He said that such a film has not been made in Nepal before. Actor Jha expressed his happiness that the film is about to release after a long wait.
Actress Raksha Thapa said that she is emotionally attached to this film. Actress Mithila Sharma thanked the director for taking her for acting in this film.
Chandan Jha is the producer of this film made under the banner of Kathmandu Films. The film stars Pashupati Rai, Kiran Shahi, Ganesh Upadhyay, Abhas Adhikari, Rajen Thapa, Vijay Anand Tamrakar, Ashant Sharma along with Mithila, Sulakshan, Raksha and Utpal.
This film is ready to be screened nationwide on May 32.
