30 June, Kathmandu. The labor fair started by the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Development on May 17 has ended.
The job fair, which started from Koshi province, was conducted for two days in all the seven provinces. The fair was concluded by reaching Bhaktapur in Bagmati province on Wednesday.
With the aim of creating an environment where youth can find work within the country, the Ministry conducted fairs in seven provinces across the country.
More than 27,500 youth have applied for jobs in seven provinces in the fair. According to the Ministry, about 50,000 people watched the fair.
In coordination with the private sector, job fairs organized in all seven provinces for the purpose of providing job and skill related information to the young people who are looking for employment, employment related training providers, banks and financial institutions, insurance, private industries, Government of Nepal Ministry of Labor Employment and Social Security, provincial ministries, local level etc. Stalls were set up.
In which stalls were also kept by private companies from different sectors such as health sector, manufacturing country sector, hotel, automobile, bank etc. In this mail, the youths who are looking for employment have been given job applications if they have observed the stalls related to employment and skills. In the same way, employers have also demanded necessary workers in the job fair.
Govind Prasad Rizal, the spokesperson of the Ministry, says that the job fair works for interaction and coordination between the youth who are looking for employment and the employers. He said that the job fair has become a meeting point for job seekers and employers.
How many applied in which province?
It was organized in a fair held in Biratnagar of Koshi province on 17th and 18th of June under Shramadhan Mela. Where more than five thousand people have observed. About 2,000 youths applied for employment and 40 people were guaranteed employment. 250 Many applicants have been called by employers for interviews.
Similarly, 2000 people have applied for the fair organized in Janakpur of Madhesh province and 247 people have been called for interviews.
Similarly, 1,300 people have applied for the fair held in Pokhara, Gandaki province, and more than 5,000 people have observed the fair.
Similarly, eight thousand people observed the incident in Butwal of Lumbini province. In the fair, 3 thousand 800 people have applied and employment has been ensured for 1000 people.
Three thousand 500 people have observed the fair held in Surkhet of Karnali province. 263 of them have applied for employment.
10,000 people visited the employment fair in Dhangadhi of Sudurpaschim Province and 1,133 people got job assurance. 4 thousand 166 people have applied for employment in the fair.
Similarly, 13 thousand 978 people have applied for employment in the fair held on Tuesday and Wednesday in Lalitpur of Bagmati.
The Ministry organized the fair in coordination with the Federation of Private Sector Industries, Confederation of Nepal Industries, Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Hotel Association and other employment providers.
