May 21, Kathmandu. The winner of the T-20 World Cup cricket will receive a prize of 2.4 million 50 thousand US dollars.
The International Cricket Council released a statement on Monday and announced the prize money for the T20 World Cup so far.
The runner-up of the World Cup will receive 12 million 28 thousand US dollars. Similarly, all teams participating in the competition will receive 225,000 US dollars. According to this announcement of ICC, Nepal will also get 250,000 dollars. This is about 3 million Nepali rupees.
The prize distribution of the tournament will be held on June 29 at the Kingston Oval in Barbados. The remaining two teams that reached the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup will each receive $787,000.
The 4 teams that reached the quarter-finals but did not reach the semi-finals will each receive $382,000. The ninth, tenth, 11th and 12th ranked teams will receive 247,000 dollars, while the 13th to 20th ranked teams will receive 225,000 dollars. Those who win other matches except the quarter-finals and semi-finals will receive 31 thousand 154 dollars for winning each match.
There will be 55 matches in T20 World Cup within 28 days.
