Teacher arrested for beating student for not doing homework

May 21, Kathmandu. A teacher has been arrested for beating up a student for not doing homework and having bad spelling.

Sudip Adhikari, a teacher of Universe English Boarding School in Pokhara Metropolitan City-32, was arrested. He was arrested by District Police Office Kaski on Sunday.

It is alleged that he beat up a 9-year-old student studying in class 5 for not doing his homework and writing badly.

According to the Kaski Police, an investigation has been started with a 5-day deadline for an offense under the Children’s Act against a teacher resident of Rupa Rural Municipality-6 in Kaski.
