18 June, Kathmandu. If the license is not renewed by the end of May of every financial year, the license of the casinos will be canceled automatically.
The Act, 2080 to amend some Nepal Acts related to prevention of money laundering and promotion of business environment, has made this provision by amending the Tourism Act.
The Department of Tourism reminded all the casino operators to renew and maintain the license before the end of May, reminding them of this provision in the Act.
According to the Department of Tourism, a person who has a license to operate a casino should apply for renewal of the license to operate a casino at least thirty days before the expiration of the validity period of the license to operate the casino.
The casino owners have been warned that if they do not submit the application, the license of the casino will be canceled automatically.
When renewing the casino, the arrears and the specified amount of casino royalty, along with the renewal fee, must be submitted by the end of May of the current year.
