18 June, Kathmandu. The price of goldA new record was set on Friday. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Traders Federation, the price of gold has reached 142,200 rupees per tola on this day.
Compared to the previous day, this price is 1 thousand 700 rupees more. The price of gold in the Nepali market has set a new record after the government increased the customs rate on gold through the budget. The customs rate on gold was 15 percent, but it has been increased to 20 percent through the budget. The Federation has fixed the price along with adjusting the customs rate on Thursday and Friday.
Earlier on June 7, the price of gold had broken all previous records. On that day, gold was traded for 1 lakh 41 thousand 800 rupees. The price of silver has decreased by 25 rupees per tola. Silver, which was traded at 1,900 per tola the previous day, has remained at 1,875 rupees today.
