Kathmandu. The two-day ‘National Women’s Gathering’ of Nepal Communist Party (UML) has started.
Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari inaugurated the meeting. UML President KP Sharma Oli and other leaders are present in the event.
Around 5,000 women leaders from all 23 mass organizations of the party, women representatives elected by the party, women officials of the state and district committees, and women representatives elected to the Swaviyu on behalf of Aneraswaviyu participated in the meeting.
On 16th June 2063, the gathering was organized to commemorate the day when the Legislature Parliament passed the issue of citizenship in the name of mother, ensuring one-third participation of women at all levels of the state, repealing discriminatory laws and ending violence against women.
The meeting was coordinated by the UML’s public organization system.
