Kathmandu. The government has increased road tax by two percent on diesel and petrol vehicles. The government has increased the tax on almost all petrol and diesel vehicles by two percent through the economic calculator.
Road tax i.e. RDF has been increased by two percent on diesel buses with capacity above 25 seats. Earlier, the tax was charged at 7%, now it is 9%.
Similarly, the tax has been increased by two percent on petrol vehicles with a capacity of 1,000 cc to 2,000 cc. Earlier, the tax was 8%, but it has been increased to 10%. Similarly, road tax has been kept unchanged on petrol vehicles above 2000 cc and above 3000 cc.
Similarly, the road tax has been increased by two percent for diesel cars with a capacity of zero to 2,000 cc. Earlier it was 8 percent, now it has been made 10 percent.
Due to the increase in road tax, the price of fuel vehicles sold in Nepal will increase by two percent to Rs 80,000.
Diesel cars above 2000 are not taxed.
