Kathmandu – 2568th Buddha Jayanti is also celebrated in Myanmar. The Nepali Embassy in Myanmar celebrated the 2568th Buddha Jayanti by holding a program at the embassy on Thursday.
According to the Nepali Embassy, nine monks from Vanarasi Nepali Vihar in Yangon have come for the program.
Ambassadors of other countries to Myanmar, officials of diplomatic missions in Yangon, officials of the United Nations, president of Nepal Religious Gurkha Association, president of Myanmar Tourism Association, president of Bodh Gaya Pilgrimage Committee and other members of the Nepalese community were present in the program.
His Excellency Harishchandra Ghimire, Nepal’s ambassador to Myanmar, highlighted the Eight True Paths shown by the Buddha.
In the event, the monks preached the sermon and also donated the monks from the embassy.
On Thursday, Buddha Jayanti was celebrated all over the world including Nepal.
