Kathmandu. America has won the 3-match T20I series with one game ahead by shocking Bangladesh in the second game in a row. In the second match at the Prairie View Cricket Complex on Thursday, USA won the series by registering six runs against Bangladesh.
Chasing the target of 145 runs given by the US, Bangladesh were reduced to 138 runs with 3 balls remaining. Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto scored the highest 36 runs in 34 balls. Shakib Al Hasan added 30 runs off 23 balls. Tovhid Hridoy scored 25 runs off 21 balls.
For America, pacer Ali Khan took 3 wickets for 25 runs in 3.3 overs. Similarly, Saurabh Netrawalkar and Shadley Van Schalkwyk took 2 wickets each while Jasdeep Sign and Corey Anderson took 1 wicket each.
Before that, America lost the toss and scored 144 runs after losing 6 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Captain Monank Patel scored the highest 42 runs for America playing 38 balls. Aaron Jones scored 35 runs off 34 balls while another opener Steven Taylor added 31 runs.
