Kathmandu. Gajendra Kumar Thakur, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, has taken charge of the Chairmanship of the Central Film Censor Board (Film Censor Board).
Thakur has started work in place of the previous president Netraprasad Subedi. Previously working in the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, he has also held the responsibility of the spokesperson of the Ministry of Communications for a month.
For one and a half months, Thakur has been checking the film as the chairman of the Film Censor Board. Now the film is being screened under his signature. The practice is that the head of the communication division is the spokesperson of the ministry and the chairman of the censor board.
Meanwhile, officials of the Film Censor Board will soon be conducting a study visit on the film censorship process there at the invitation of the Indian Censor Board. Film Development Board Chairman Bhuvan KC, who reached Mumbai last week, said that the officials of the Censor Board are going to India soon.
